Building Global Connections: Thrive Philanthropy Meets Grantees in Nepal
At Thrive Philanthropy, we believe that true impact comes from working closely with our grantees on the ground. Meeting in person, in the communities where change is happening, allows us to deepen relationships and strengthen our shared mission.
Earlier this year, Thrive CEO Jessika Ava, MS, MPA, traveled to Nepal to meet with long-time grantee Sneha’s Care. This special gathering brought together Sneha’s Care founder Sneha Shrestha, the organization’s board of directors, and Thrive leadership for a rare opportunity to strategize face-to-face.
Together, the teams explored pathways to prevent the entry of industrialized dairy into Nepal while promoting local, sustainable, plant-based food systems. These efforts are critical to protecting community health, advancing climate-friendly food systems, and ensuring a better future for animals.
This meeting reflects Thrive Philanthropy’s wider commitment to accelerating the end of factory farming in half the world’s countries. By supporting local leaders like Sneha Shrestha and her team, Thrive is helping build a global movement for just and sustainable food systems.
