Thrive Philanthropy CEO Jessika Ava Speaks at Pakistan’s 1st International Animal and Environmental Rights Conference

Thrive Philanthropy CEO, Jessika Ava, MS, MPA, spoke at Pakistan’s inaugural International Animal and Environmental Rights Conference, organized by Thrive grantee, Charity Doings Foundation. The conference brought together attendees both in-person and online, offering a dynamic platform for advocates, educators, and community leaders to engage in critical discussions.

The event explored a wide range of pressing topics, including the judicial and anthropological study of animal rights, animal ethics, animal experimentation, farmed and aquatic animals, equines, insects, food systems and environmental impact, government custodianship of rights, animals in disasters, animal and environmental rights in Islam, the role of higher education in advancing animal and environmental literacy, career pathways, global food systems, international and domestic animal rights frameworks, media as an advocacy tool, and film sessions.

The conference highlighted the growing focus on animal and environmental advocacy in Pakistan. It created an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, strategies, and innovations for advancing compassionate and sustainable systems, marking an important milestone for the country’s emerging advocacy community.
